I'd like to explain the significance of suspension in each one of my pieces and how they relate. let's start off with "heaven in a tourniquet." obviously, it was supposed to show being stuck... but I also wanted it to convey that she couldn't touch earth. I wanted it to show overall a loss of faith. The earth is polluted and the fumes just rise to her.

In "the heart of a marionette" it was supposed to show that people are just puppets... that we're controlled by something else. even our hearts are toyed with, used... the quote in the back of "we're always on some sort of strings" was just reinstating that no matter how independant we'd like to be, there's always someone.. somewhere... effecting, changing, or controlling us.

the hanging stars in the sky in "I am the Alpha and the Omega" reminded me of a prop in an opera. Really, the image here has kind of a clouded meaning even though it's stated very clearly. In one way, I wanted to the girl to show that the human race had potential... the beginning... but it would also destroy itself.... the end. visually, I wanted the girl to look like she was getting away from the mess of below, an escape. I wanted her to feel some sort of relief... so to tie in the message with the visual, you could say that she started something, gave it potential, but now it's gone horrible wrong and she just wants to get away from it. still, one person has the power to destroy everything...

all three represent the pain and failure of the human race.

yes, I am a very cheery artist.

hmmnn... did you die?

I hope, when they die, cartoon characters have to answer for their sins......
:iconspyed:
Have you ever had a dream, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world?

What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire deviant life, that there's something wrong with the story. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad.

You take the blue pill, the story ends. Your browser closes and you believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in wonderland. And, I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.

I offer only the truth, nothing more.

Fella Point Right spyed, nobody has ever done this before.
Ninja Point Right I know. That's why it's going to work.

Do not try and bend the spoon ...

thanks for honoring "humbling view" it seems many cant fathom why the billboard structure is necessary but luckily you do and the comments on "unsettling country experience." i love the way your comments rise above the typical banality and include personalization. i look forward to them :) (Smile)

thanks for watching, you voyeur you. Our views on art seem rather similar in some avenues and I imagine in others as well. i love your opinion of my work and the messages you derive from them. I will eagerly await your next addition and until then let destruction and creation revel in their overpowering unity.
:iconphantasmagoria:
hey thanks for the appreciation towards my "Unadulterated" pen and ink. it was, in my opinion, one of my most powerful works and was completely ignored until recently. your work is so impressive and keep in touch.
